Special Rules & Guidelines

  1. Exhibitors will be notified of space allocation and square-footage configuration after the closing of entries.
  2. No exhibit, decorations, or fixtures shall be attached to any structural portion of the buildings unless otherwise noted.
  3. Feature exhibits are to consist of three special display exhibits, each using 100 sq. ft. of floor space and grouped as one complete exhibit.
  4. Exhibitors and builders are to exercise all caution and protection to keep paint, solvents, and cleaning materials from contact with all walls and floor surfaces. Restroom sinks may not be used for cleaning paintbrushes and equipment.
  5. Exhibit builders shall remove from the building (bins provided) all trash and debris generated by them (on a daily basis), including all remaining materials after dismantling their exhibits.
  6. Exhibitors must furnish flameproof shredded paper for Feature Displays. This may be ordered through the Fair.
  7. All exhibits (and exhibit material) will be inspected regularly by the Fire Marshall and must meet all standards and safety requirements enforced by that office.
  8. Spoiled fruit must be replaced with fresh fruit each morning before 10:00 am. Exhibitors found in violation of this rule will be barred from exhibition in the Feature Exhibit Program in the future, and premium awards will be withheld. This rule will be strictly enforced.

Special Rules & Guidelines Variety Feature

  1. Variety Feature Exhibits will be limited to those which display the advantage and diversity of agriculture in the Riverside County and/or community or area represented.
  2. Open to City and Community Organizations - One (1) entry by or for a city, community organization or (non)-commercial entry
  3. Members of the community or organization within the area represented must display the products.
  4. All fresh produce must have been produced in the Coachella Valley.
  5. Judging will be closely watched as to the exhibit theme: Where Farm Meets Fun

Special Rules & Guidelines Citrus Feature

  1. Open to any variety or combination of varieties
  2. One (1) entry per exhibitor
  3. The citrus feature display should contain at least the equivalent of 15 standard cartons of one or more varieties of citrus fruits in any combination

  1. Open Division
  2. Dates must be grown in Riverside County

Special Rules & Guidelines Ag/Horticulture Feature

  1. Open to any variety or combination of varieties
  2. One (1) entry per exhibitor
  3. The agriculture feature display should contain one or more varieties of agriculture product in any combination

Special Rules & Guidelines Poster Contest

  1. One (1) entry per class per exhibitor
  2. This division is open to exhibitors under 19 years of age
  3. Posters must be standard size poster board 22 inch by 28 inch labeled with exhibitors name & address on back
  4. An oversize board will be minus 10 points automatically
  5. Posters will not be released until Monday, February 24 at– 9 a.m.

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY

Carefully review this guide as it contains all of the applicable information regarding the exact rules and deadlines for this specific category, ensuring you are entering the correct classes in advance. When you submit your entry online you are agreeing that you understand the rules and regulations.

SHOWORKS

All entries must be made online through ShoWorks. If you plan to make changes to your entries or need to leave ShoWorks at any time - SAVE YOUR CART before exiting out. Once you select PAY NOW your entry will be submitted and you will not be able to make changes to your cart online. Those needing assistance with online entries can visit the Main Office Saturday, January 11, 2025 to Friday, January 15, 2025. The Main Office is located in the Shalimar building at Gate 4 on Arabia Street.

PAYMENT

Online credit card payments are the only method to enter your exhibit and are due upon entry. Cash or check payments will not be accepted.

Any entry or payment submitted past this deadline will not be accepted.
