For the fourth year in a row, the 71st Annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival will join forces with the Riverside County Department of Animal Services and host animal adoptions. Efforts from the last three years have help place more than 605 rescued animals into loving homes.
The successful adoption events have been part of ongoing efforts led by the Riverside County Department of Animal Services to place many of the homeless animals into healthy and caring homes. Special reduced adoption fees will include vaccinations, a microchip and the pet's surgery (note: most of these dogs have already had their spay or neuter surgery prior to their fair excursion -- so they're ready to go home on the same day of adoption).
The County of Riverside Animal Services Department will be on site every day of the 10-day Fair, Monday-Thursday 10am-3pm & Friday-Sunday 10am-5pm, along with adoption counselors to help the public with the placement of a homeless dog or cat into a forever home. There are approximately 20-30 dogs available each day for the duration of the Fair along with temporary licensing on site. If you’re looking for a loving pet, we hope you’ll stop by!
